Week 7 - MKTG 349 - Campaign Strategies

          In this chapter, I learned about the strategies of  campaigning and learn how to create a campaign.    Now for those who forgot, a campaign is can be a related ad groups that is used to organize products/services/ and other things that you offer on the google website.  The campaign is to allow customers to visit your website.  Campaigns can have different uses, for example one can be used to increase the click through rate , so more people com to the website, while another can simply be just pure brand exposure. What i s really beautiful about this service is that you can contact Google Adwod support through email , chat or call for general advice.  This helps because if your campaign ad does not go as always, you can improve and try new things.           Even better is that once a campaign has been ran, Google itself will help offer helpings, and findings to improve your campaign besides the tool...

Callout extensions is an extremely useful way of utilizing what the company has to offer.  In short, it allows the consumer to see the company, the website, and a small bio of what it is suppose to look like. Call outs are an ad on because they can make the ad longer and can get more attention of the viewer.  Examples are like below, where they include Free shipping, 24-7 customer service and price matching.  This makes it competitive compared to other companies who do not have those things in.  Without a doubt AdWords call out extension is a no brainer and everyone should use it.  By allowing 3-4 bullet points with a 25 character max for each bullet, as a campaign creater you can use this to advertise and explain things like " special offers " " product benefits " and features.  A lot of times when similar companies have the same types of ads, it comes down to the ad's quality score and that is what is determined in the ranking of where they should...

          There are many ways Google allows the owner of a campaign to monitor their profit/loss, amount of times their link has been clicked and so forth.  The first tool it gives is the ability to check a specific number of days ( range ) that the ad has been clicked.  This helps analyze on a bigger scale if the service/product was more popular during months, seasons, specific holidays, or even on a micro level such as weekends were more popular and a specific period of time such as night.  The reason this is beneficial is because many people do not have time to check their campaigns every day.  Sometimes once a week, once a month, and this tool is beneficial to those who don't have time to check every hour and so forth.         The next tool is the Clicks/CTR.  Every person posting an ad wants to know how many people have clicked on their website.  CTR allows to see how many people clicked on your ad, and ca...

           As easy as it sounds, launching a campaign on Google takes lots of time , and precise details. to make it perfect.  The purpose of  Campaigning is to  help those market in any sorts of field such as  business, politics, salesmen,  and so forth.  The first step of a Campaign is deciding who do you want to target.  The campaign has to be detailed from the point of age , economic/social class,  time of day,  which parts of the world, start and end date of the campaign, specific keywords and so forth.  The goal of the Google AdWords Campaign or best strategy to have the most success is to look at it from the perspective of a potential customer.  Ask questions like " what would they search for " , " what exactly would they type " and so forth.         Now, one must remember that when launching a campaign, Google will ask for compensation.  Depending on the k...

Week 2- The World of Marketing

As a Finance Major, I always considered Marketing to be just advertising on poster boards, or large companies making posters to sell their next big product.  I also viewed marketing as people making designs and that was it.  However after reading this chapter, I learned there is much more to marketing, and how much money companies like Google/FB can make from the world of marketing.
