Week 12 - MKTG 349 - Analyzing a Campaign.
We must constantly review our campaign, whether it be every day, per week, or even once a month. It is vital for us to keep track and understand the success and failures of our business. The first thing we should look at is our time frame. We want to see when was our ad the most popular. Could it be Friday nights? Could it be the weekend, we will never know. Sometimes we might want to see day vs. night so setting a time frame is very important. The reason for this is you can analyze different trends and see how many clicks happened, amount spent on this day vs that day. The beauty is that their are many different types of options that can be done in scenarios. However this is only just the beginning.
Google not only lets you monitor the campaigns through clicks, but can go into details of specific ads and keywords, so if few keywords are not working you can get rid of them, and if others are highly successful, then they should be kept. While many people think that Google's programs are out there to take your money, the truth of the matter is ; it is exactly the opposite. Google isn't there to be a free playground, they want to make money, but they will never try taking advantage of the individual/business and will do anything they can to help them cut costs. This is the beauty of AdWords cause other sites only like taking money from the client and they do not go into such detail as Google.
